Sandcastle Technique Class
Sunday July 21 from 1:30-3:30
Hosted by:  Jack and Jan Aboussafy multiple grand champions in the Ma-Me-O Beach contest sharing techniques, trials and tribulations of working with sand.
Where: Meet on the beach on block nine across the street from the Day Park (use public walkway to beach) RAIN or SHINE.
You will learn: the basics, how to tell if your sand is great, good or challenging and why, how to correct disasters, how to be fearless and how to get the 'vision' of your creation.
What to bring: YOUR SMILE! Whatever you have that can dig or hold sand i.e. buckets, bowls, waste baskets etc. For carving:  Kitchen utensils, spatulas, pancake flippers, DULL knives, trowels, cups, bowls, jello molds or whatever you think can create interesting shapes, lines, holes etc. Label your stuff as things get lost in the sand or shared by the kids at these events.
Sand sculpting should be a family activity. It is free, fun and a bonding experience if you keep calm and have a sense of humor. Come on down and learn some new things, refresh some old lessons and share with us what you know about sand.
